How to make a Genshin Impact account — HoYoverse ID, server, and backups
Genshin Impact progress lives on a HoYoverse account, and each server region has its own save. Get the account and server right on day one, then keep the details somewhere you will find them after a long break.
How to make a Genshin Impact account and save it
Step 1
Install Genshin Impact from an official store
Use the official launcher, PlayStation Store, App Store, or Google Play. Skip sites selling “starter accounts” with rare characters — they get reclaimed.
Step 2
Create a HoYoverse account
Register with an email you will keep and a unique password. The same HoYoverse account works for Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero.
Step 3
Pick your server carefully
America, Europe, Asia, and TW/HK/MO are separate saves. Pick where you and your friends play; progress does not transfer between servers.
Step 4
Link your email and console
In account settings, confirm your email. On PlayStation, link the HoYoverse account so you can play the same save on PC or mobile.
Step 5
Save it in LoginScout
Store the HoYoverse email, password, server, and in-game UID on one card. Add a note for which console account is linked.
