How to recover a hacked Minecraft account
Since the move from Mojang accounts, Minecraft signs in with a Microsoft account. That means recovery goes through Microsoft, not Mojang. Here is the order that works best.
How to recover a hacked Minecraft account
Step 1
Try a normal password reset
At login.live.com, choose “Forgot password” and use the email or phone on the Microsoft account.
Step 2
Use the Microsoft account recovery form
If the email or phone was changed, fill in Microsoft’s account recovery form from the sign-in help page. Add old passwords, subjects of recent emails, and purchase details.
Step 3
Contact Minecraft support if needed
Once you control the Microsoft account again, use minecraft.net help if the game profile or purchase is missing.
Step 4
Turn on two-step verification
In Microsoft account security, add an authenticator app and save the recovery code.
Step 5
